SUMMARY:Magic Hour: Sensory-Friendly Library Playtime/Hora Mágica: Tiempo de Juego Sensorial Amigable
DESCRIPTION:Join us for Magic Hour\, an inclusive playtime in the library\, specially adapted for children with autism\, sensory processing challenges\, or who struggle in large groups. This program takes place on the fourth Tuesday of the month\, when the library will be opened especially for this group. It is a time set aside for children and their caregivers to have a wonderful time at the library when it is closed to everyone else. \nThis self guided play time will have sensory-sensitive toys available and the new play space will be open along with the entire Children’s area. We keep the lights low and use natural lighting\, computers are turned off\, and the doors are closed to reduce outside noise and help keep runners and wanderers safe.  \nIt’s a relaxed time to explore\, play\, and connect—free from the hustle and bustle of regular library hours. \n**** \nÚnase a nosotros para la Hora Mágica\, un tiempo de juego inclusivo en la biblioteca\, especialmente adaptado para niños con autismo\, procesamiento sensorial o que se sienten incómodos en grupos grandes. Este programa se lleva a cabo el cuarto martes de cada mes\, cuando la biblioteca abrirá exclusivamente para este grupo. Es un momento reservado para que los niños y sus cuidadores disfruten de la biblioteca cuando está cerrada al público. \nEste tiempo de juego autónomo contará con juguetes adaptados a las necesidades sensoriales\, y estará disponible la nueva zona de juego junto con toda el área infantil. Mantenemos las luces bajas y utilizamos la luz natural; las computadoras están apagadas y las puertas cerradas para reducir el ruido exterior y ayudar a mantener seguros a quienes corren o deambulan. \nEs un momento relajado para explorar\, jugar y conectar—libre del ajetreo y el bullicio del horario regular de la biblioteca.
