DESCRIPTION:Date: Saturday\, August 23\, 2025 Time: 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm Presenter: Dave Rocha Location:  Pioneer Park   \nJoin us for an afternoon of jazz in the park behind the Library. Sit underneath the trees in Pioneer Park and listen to the jazz stylings of renowned Bay Area trumpeter Dave Rocha and his quartet. \nPlease bring your own chairs and blankets.  \nDave Rocha has been performing with his jazz group for more than 20 years. He has played in a number of major cities\, including New York\, Los Angeles\, San Francisco and Seattle. His band plays an eclectic mix of jazz standards (by Miles Davis\, Wayne Shorter\, John Coltrane\, etc.)\, “pop” tunes (Cole Porter\, Gershwin and Jobim) and original compositions. This covers a wide variety of styles from up-tempo bebop\, “modal” tunes\, swing and blues\, to Latin jazz\, ballads and jazz waltz. \n \nThis event is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Mountain View Library.
