DESCRIPTION:Come and improve your mental and physical health in mindfulness meditation sessions led by Phuong Pham. Each session is 45 minutes of sitting and/or walking meditation followed by 15 minutes of group sharing and Q&A. It is open to all levels of experience and no registration is required. \nParticipants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats and/or meditation cushions. Chairs are available for those who do not bring them. \nPhuong is a Buddhist nun experienced in leading mindfulness meditation. DESCRIPTION:This fun and engaging week-long summer camp introduces Model UN to students in grades 5-9.  \nWe will cover all the Model UN basics and build critical life skills\, including public speaking\, research\, paper writing\, and creative problem-solving. The camp ends with a real mini-conference simulation for students to put into action everything that they’ve learned.  \nThis is an interactive opportunity for students to learn more about global affairs\, collaborate to create solutions on key issues\, and practice public speaking in a learning environment while simulating the United NationsNOTE: \n\nStudents should bring laptops if possible\, but they are not required. A limited amount of laptops will be available to check out with a library card. \nParticipants are also expected to attend all or most of the camp sessions to ensure the best experience for everyone.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a weekly Tai Chi session with Nelson Ng! In this weekly class\, participants will learn the basic principles and the philosophy behind Tai Chi\, gaining flexibility and a better sense of balance\, through slow and gentle movement.  \nNelson started learning Chen’s Tai Chi in 1989 from Master Gene Chen\, who was a disciple of Grandmaster of Feng ZhiQiang. Nelson has been teaching since 2014. \nThis class is free and open to beginners as well as those who have previous Tai Chi experience. People of all ages are welcome. You must sign in upon arrival.

SUMMARY:Mindfulness Meditation
DESCRIPTION:Come and improve your mental and physical health in mindfulness meditation sessions led by Phuong Pham. Each session is 45 minutes of sitting and/or walking meditation followed by 15 minutes of group sharing and Q&A. It is open to all levels of experience and no registration is required. \nParticipants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats and/or meditation cushions. Chairs are available for those who do not bring them. \nPhuong is a Buddhist nun experienced in leading mindfulness meditation.
