DESCRIPTION:Reading Buddies provides students in grades K–5 with the opportunity to strengthen their reading skills by working one-on-one with a friendly reading coach. This program creates a positive and supportive reading experience for beginning and developing readers\, helping children build confidence and fluency. \nOur reading coach listens as children read\, offering encouragement and support in phonics\, sight words\, and comprehension. DESCRIPTION:Every now and then\, libraries need a little extra love from the communities they serve. You can volunteer away your library fines at a rate of $20 per hour while helping the library maintain a clean and welcoming environment.  \nVolunteers will be responsible for: \n\nBook cover cleaning – Use disinfecting wipes to reinvigorate dingy books.\nBookshelves – Dust shelves and organize library materials.\nDeep cleaning computers – Use disinfecting wipes to disinfect computer mice and mouse pads and compressed air to remove any dust particles or debris.\nMaterial inspection – Check books for torn pages\, pen marks\, etc.\n\nThis is a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in volunteering away their library fines. \nDetails and Requirements: \n\nMust be able to commit to the full session\nAnyone under the age of 15 must volunteer alongside a parent/guardian\nNo experience or special skills necessary\nTraining and supplies will be provide\nMust arrive no later than 10 minutes late.    \n\nPlease register online or ask for assistance by calling/visiting our Information Desk.
