DESCRIPTION:Reading Buddies provides students in grades K–5 with the opportunity to strengthen their reading skills by working one-on-one with a friendly reading coach. This program creates a positive and supportive reading experience for beginning and developing readers\, helping children build confidence and fluency. \nOur reading coach listens as children read\, offering encouragement and support in phonics\, sight words\, and comprehension. Students may bring a favorite book from home or select one from the library’s collection to read aloud. \nReading sessions are available on a first-come\, first-served basis.  The length of each session may be limited depending on the number of participating students and/or available volunteers. \nFree.
