DESCRIPTION:Every now and then\, libraries need a little extra love from the communities they serve. You can volunteer away your library fines at a rate of $20 per hour while helping the library maintain a clean and welcoming environment. \nVolunteers will be responsible for: \n\nBook cover cleaning – Use disinfecting wipes to reinvigorate dingy books.\nBookshelves – Dust shelves and organize library materials.\nDeep cleaning computers – Use disinfecting wipes to disinfect computer mice and mouse pads and compressed air to remove any dust particles or debris.\nMaterial inspection – Check books for torn pages\, pen marks\, etc.\n\nThis is a perfect opportunity for families interested in volunteering away their library fines. \nDetails and Requirements: \n\nMust be able to commit to the full session\nAt this event\, we kindly ask that only families participate as volunteers. DESCRIPTION:Students in grades K-5 will have the opportunity to improve their reading skills by working one-on-one with a volunteer reading coach. \nReading Buddies creates a positive reading experience for beginning and developing readers and helps children build confidence as readers. Our reading coach will listen to children read and provide support in phonics\, sight words\, and comprehension. Students can bring their favorite book or choose from the available selection at the Seven Trees Branch Library. \nFree.
