DESCRIPTION:You applied for a job and received a call back for an interview.  Congratulations!  Do you want help preparing for the interview?   \nMeet one-on-one with Daniel\, an experienced job interview coach to help you prepare by giving feedback on your resume and conducting a mock interview. \nSessions are one hour in length. Be prepared to share things with Daniel such as a current resume\, the job position description you applied for\, and if you can\, come dressed as if you were going in to the actual interview. \nYou must register for this event and registration ends the Thursday before the program. If you registered successfully\, you will get a registration confirmation email with a link to pick your choice of time for this Saturday’s program.   \nEach session is one hour (15-30 minutes for interviewing + 30-45 minutes for helpful feedback).  The one hour time slots to pick from are as follows: 10:00 – 11:00 am or 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Please note that there is a 5 minute buffer to include any set up and help prevent any overlap between appointments. \nResumes and job position descriptions are reviewed in advance.  Please email documents to Jeff.Tibayan@sjlibrary.org by 5PM on the Thursday before your Saturday session. DESCRIPTION:Help the Friends of Bascom Library with their book sale. This is a Volunteer Away Your Fines opportunity! \nPlease note\, our shifts on Friday\, November 7 from 2:00-5:00 PM and Saturday\, November 8 from 1:00-4:00 PM are when the Friends most need volunteer assistance. \nThe work will involve lifting and transporting boxes of books\, which can be heavy\, as well as organizing books by category. The Friends will handle purchase transactions. Working part of a shift is acceptable. \nSigning a one-time Volunteering Signature Form will be required (unless you have already been onboarded as an SJPL volunteer). Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age (if you are under 18\, both you and your parent or guardian must sign the Volunteering Signature Form). \nWe suggest that you bring a full water bottle with you\, since the weather may be hot. \nRegister to receive a reminder and instructions 24 hours before volunteering. \nADA Accommodation Requests

Recommended for ages 10+ \nWith Lab PCs donated by our local community\, you will learn: \n\nComponents needed to assemble a working computer\nHow to plan out and shop for a new/used computer components\nHow to assemble a PC without damaging components\n\nClass Breakdown: \n\nPresentation on minimum necessary components and their functions\nStudents/families (in small groups) will be given an assortment of components to reassemble into a working computer\nStart them up and troubleshoot any problems\n\nThanks to our patrons and staff for their computer donations!! \n\nMy Qualifications:I’ve built my own computers for more than 30 years. My parents worked at IBM and would always bring home new components.
