DESCRIPTION:“Tech-Time” – Do you know an Active Adult who desires the tools and training needed to start using the internet\, a smartphone\, or become a fervent user of technology? Do you know an Active Adult who is interested in learning about resources specified for the Active Adult Community? Well\, here’s their chance to gain free access to the right tools\, training\, and resources! \nJoin the City of San Jose Public Library Staff as we endeavor to create a virtual friendly space for Active Adults while providing virtual adaptive technology programming and additional resources for this community of lifelong learners. \nWhat does this program look like? \nDuring each session\, Active Adults will have the opportunity to experience a range of tech devices (iPhones\, iPads\, Nooks\, Kindles\, laptops…) or receive resources from presenters with expertise in utilizing and sharing resources specified for the Active Adult community. All this\, while receiving virtual support & practice with SJPL staff\, volunteers\, and or a trained presenter. “It’s like playing in a tech sandbox full of resources!” \nRegistration is required – Participants will need to log into the Virtual Zoom class to connect with the instructor. DESCRIPTION:Storytime is designed to accommodate a mix of ages and invites the entire family to participate in early literacy activities such as stories\, songs\, rhymes\, fingerplays\, and movement activities. Storytime is a fun and interactive experience for the whole family that promotes the joys of reading and learning for all ages. This program is geared for children of all ages and their parents/caregivers! \nTo prevent overcrowding\, there are two storytimes at Calabazas on Wednesday morning. The same storytime will be held twice\, at 10:30 and again at 11:15 a.m. \nFree\, with limited capacity. Tickets available at the desk 30 minutes before program starts. All individuals (of any age) attending need a ticket and must be present to receive their ticket. \n\nThis program is developed to align with the Early Education Quality Standards. \nADA Accommodation Requests
