DESCRIPTION:Preschool age children and their parents/caregivers are invited to the West Valley Branch Library for Reading to Children in Japanese. Every Thursday at 11:00 AM\, children will enjoy early literacy activities such as stories\, songs\, rhymes\, fingerplays\, and movement activities all in the Japanese language.  \nThis program is brought to the library by Poponta Children’s Cultural Society. Established in 2008 and based in San Mateo\, Poponta is comprised of a group of volunteers dedicated to serving the Japanese-speaking community. Poponta volunteers tell stories to children to open their minds to the magic of books. A limited number of tickets will be distributed at the Information Desk 30 minutes prior to the start of the program. Storytime es una experiencia divertida e interactiva para toda la familia que promueve el placer de leer y aprender para todas las edades. Este programa familiar se ofrece en español y está abierto a todas las personas interesadas en aprender nuevos idiomas.  \nPor favor traiga sus propias bufandas y maracas. La biblioteca no proporciona útiles compartidos en este momento. Esta hora de cuentos es un programa en el interior/exterior de la biblioteca. Storytime is a fun and interactive experience for the whole family that promotes the joys of reading and learning for all ages. This family-friendly program is hosted in Spanish and open to all including native speakers and those interested in learning new languages.  \nPlease bring your own scarves and shakers. The library is not providing shared supplies at this time.  This storytime is an indoor/outdoor program.  Use of outdoor space is weather dependent. \nMake sure to follow us on YouTube for more stories\, songs and rhymes\, including a playlist of all of our favorite songs to sing!

DESCRIPTION:Infant Toddler Storytime invites children and their caregivers to wiggle\, rhyme\, and sing with diverse books\, songs\, and fingerplays that encourage language\, play\, and exploration.  \nThis program is geared for children 0 to 3 years of age and their parents/caregivers\, but all children are welcome! \nFree\, 50 person maximum. Story Time tickets required. Another event\, Infant and Toddler Storytime B will start at 11:15 for those that weren’t able to make it inside for this event. \n\nSeating for Storytime is available on a first-come\, first-served basis.
