DESCRIPTION:Recommended for students ages 8 – 14+Registration Required \nThis 2-hour program will educate students on the fundamentals of computer hardware. In this workshop\, students will learn the basics of computing and how to build a computer system. Each student will be provided a kit of computer components and given in-depth descriptions of how these components function and their placement in a computer system. Once a system is fully functional and configured\, students will have the opportunity to explore the computer system. \nThe first portion will focus on getting familiar with computing components with a slide presentation; the second portion will be the building portion with visual guides provided. Participants will be working in groups for the building portion.
