DESCRIPTION:A lecture series presented by the Delphian Study Club – providing the opportunity for lifelong learning and friendship via lectures and events.  \nThe current series is an in-depth study of Documentary Films by Steve Longstreth. This series of lectures\, film excerpts and personal reflections will be a study of many important aspects of documentary film. There will be a discussion of history\, individual filmmakers and their contributions to the genre and questions that their work may raise. \nSteve Longstreth has a BA in Mathematics from Antioch College and an MA in Communications/Film from Stanford University. Following graduate school\, he formed a film production company in Palo Alto. For almost four decades\, working with two partners\, Steve Longstreth produced\, directed\, wrote\, and edited a wide variety of documentary\, educational and informational films. \nSpecific Lecture Topics will be: \n\nSeptember 19\, 2025 – Overview of the study. DESCRIPTION:We invite you to take part in our English classes with East San José Carnegie Branch Library! \nOur class will begin on Friday\, October 17 to meet in person and answer questions about the class series and format. If you are new to using Zoom\, we can show you how to get started on your phone or computer. \n A new lesson will be presented on Zoom every Wednesday starting on October 22nd from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.   Then\, every Friday\, we will meet in person in the Community Room of East San Jose Carnegie Branch Library from 2:05 to 3:30 p.m. to practice the new vocabulary and grammar using fun\, educational games and activities.
