DESCRIPTION:Come practice your reading skills and read aloud one on one with a furry friend! Each 15-minute session is with a specially trained therapy dog and their volunteer. Reading Buddies in the Gilroy Library will take place the 1st Tuesday of each month starting in September. Sign-ups are first come\, first serve until all slots are filled.  \nFor children in PreK – 6th grade. \n\n¡Ven a practicar tus habilidades de lectura y lee en voz alta uno a uno con un amigo peludo! ¡Cada sesión de 15 minutos es con un perro de terapia especialmente entrenado y su voluntario! SUMMARY:Mindfulness Meditation (Online)
DESCRIPTION:Mindfulness meditation is a wonderful way to develop clarity\, discipline\, and perspective as well as improve your mental and physical health. Join online sessions with Phuong Pham\, a Buddhist nun experienced in the practice of meditation. Each session is 45 minutes of meditating together followed by 15 minutes of group sharing and Q&A led by Phuong. The group sharing and Q&A is a valuable part of the process\, so participants can reflect on the meditation session together and build community. It is open to all levels of experience. \nRegistration is required to receive the Zoom link. Please make sure your email address is entered correctly.
