DESCRIPTION:Mindfulness meditation is a wonderful way to develop clarity\, discipline\, and perspective as well as improve your mental and physical health. Join online sessions with Phuong Pham\, a Buddhist nun experienced in the practice of meditation. Each session is 45 minutes of meditating together followed by 15 minutes of group sharing and Q&A led by Phuong. The group sharing and Q&A is a valuable part of the process\, so participants can reflect on the meditation session together and build community. It is open to all levels of experience. \nRegistration is required to receive the Zoom link. Please make sure your email address is entered correctly. In this beginner-friendly workshop\, you’ll explore a variety of line patterns inspired by Filipino weaving and tattoo designs. You’ll then apply these patterns to create your own distinctive banig illustration. This creative process is not only accessible to all skill levels but also offers a calming\, meditative\, and enjoyable experience. \nThis program is offered on a first-come\, first-served basis until all seats are filled. Recommended for ages 10+ \nWith Lab PCs donated by our local community\, you will learn: \n\nComponents needed to assemble a working computer\nHow to plan out and shop for a new/used computer components\nHow to assemble a PC without damaging components\n\nClass Breakdown: \n\nPresentation on minimum necessary components and their functions\nStudents/families (in small groups) will be given an assortment of components to reassemble into a working computer\nStart them up and troubleshoot any problems\n\nThanks to our patrons and staff for their computer donations!! \n\nMy Qualifications:I’ve built my own computers for more than 30 years. My parents worked at IBM and would always bring home new components.
