DESCRIPTION:Reading Buddies provides students in grades K–5 with the opportunity to strengthen their reading skills by working one-on-one with a friendly reading coach. This program creates a positive and supportive reading experience for beginning and developing readers\, helping children build confidence and fluency. \nOur reading coach listens as children read\, offering encouragement and support in phonics\, sight words\, and comprehension. Kindergarten through 8th grade students can come to Edenvale Branch Library’s Homework Club to get coached by trained library volunteers. Students can get free help with their homework in subjects such as reading\, writing\, math\, and social studies!​ \nHomework Club at Edenvale Branch Library is scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays each week from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM\, except for the following dates because of City holidays and school breaks: \n\nOctober 7th and 9th\n\nHomework Club will take a break for the winter right after the Thanksgiving Break and resume in January 2026. The schedule for the Spring semester will be determined and posted closer to the start of December. \nFree. No registration is required; however\, Homework Club has a limited capacity. DESCRIPTION:Prepare for the prestigious Math Olympiad competition or get better at mathematics! Children ages 8-11 will learn how to solve difficult math problems as preparation for math competitions in middle school. Through guided instruction and practice using real competition math problems\, participants will learn how to break down problems and solve them step-by-step.
