With over 450\,000 recorded species\, the order of beetles\, Coleoptera\, contains a myriad of biodiversity and ecological roles. Understanding beetles is therefore fundamental to understanding the nature of life on earth.  \nStephanie Dole is a PhD Entomologist who specializes in educating people of all ages about the wonderful world of terrestrial arthropods. Through her business\, Beetlelady\, she teaches programs in the Bay Area and beyond\, hoping to instill a love of bugs in others. She will present on the astonishing diversity of insects and beetles specifically\, as well as her own research into the diversity of tropical bark beetles. DESCRIPTION:Want to get something printed on our 3D printer? \nParticipants can choose a design from Thingiverse\, or provide their own design. Designs must be in an .stl file format and able to be emailed. We estimate that 3D prints will be ready for pickup within 7 days of submission. Designs are considered printable if able to load and save on a Creality K1C\, but the program lead has final say. All prints must take less than 1 hr 30 min (estimated 60 grams of filament). All prints are free and must meet the criteria above and below. \nRegistration is required. Only 1 print per person and only 1 print per family/household per month.  \nPlease also be aware that: \n\nPrints are meant to be for personal use only and not for commercial purposes.\nNo weapons or items that could be construed as a weapon will be accepted for print.\nPrints that are considered obscene or otherwise inappropriate for the library environment will be not accepted for print.\nThe library’s 3D printers must be used only for lawful purposes. SUMMARY:3D Printing On Demand
DESCRIPTION:Want to get something printed on our 3D printer? \nParticipants can choose a design from Thingiverse\, or provide their own design. Designs must be in an .stl file format and able to be emailed. We estimate that 3D prints will be ready for pickup within 7 days of submission. Designs are considered printable if able to load and save on a Creality K1C\, but the program lead has final say. All prints must take less than 1 hr 30 min (estimated 60 grams of filament). All prints are free and must meet the criteria above and below. \nRegistration is required. Only 1 print per person and only 1 print per family/household per month.  \nPlease also be aware that: \n\nPrints are meant to be for personal use only and not for commercial purposes.\nNo weapons or items that could be construed as a weapon will be accepted for print.\nPrints that are considered obscene or otherwise inappropriate for the library environment will be not accepted for print.\nThe library’s 3D printers must be used only for lawful purposes. All local\, state\, and federal laws must be followed.\nAccepted prints may not violate any third party’s intellectual property\, such as copyright\, patent\, or trademark.\nLibrary staff reserve the right to refuse any 3D print request.\nSJPL and library staff are not responsible for malfunctions or misprints.\n\nThis program is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Vineland Branch Library. \nADA Accommodation Requests
