Item Donation Drive in Partnership with HomeFirst
The West Valley Branch Teens Reach chapter is hosting an item donation drive during the Library’s open hours to benefit people experiencing homelessness. Bring any of the items listed below inside when the library is open and drop them in a provided collection bin as space allows. To help the library know how many people participated in this event, please inform staff if donating any items. Gift receipts for donated items can be available upon request. Thank you.
HomeFirst of Santa Clara County will accept the following items as described. If you would like to donate other items, please check their wish lists for what items they accept and how to donate them:
Accepted items for this drive:
- New or gently used bed blankets (twin, full, or queen-size) without holes or stains (if gently used, please launder before donating)
- New or gently used throw blankets without holes or stains (if gently used, please launder before donating)
- Warm clothing of all types/sizes except formal wear (if gently used, please launder before donating. High-priority clothing items are new or laundered, gently used rain jackets and warm clothing for men)
- Any donated socks or underwear must be new and unworn
Note: We cannot accept any monetary donations at this event.
