VIRTUAL Math Olympiad Club
Prepare for the prestigious Math Olympiad competition or get better at mathematics! Children ages 8-11 will learn how to solve difficult math problems as preparation for math competitions in middle school. Through guided instruction and practice using real competition math problems, participants will learn how to break down problems and solve them step-by-step. Hosted by West Valley Branch Library.
This program meets online each Tuesday from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM during the school year except for holiday breaks or if volunteers are not available. The current registration is for all sessions from Sept-Dec. 2025. Participants should try to register if they are sure they will be able to attend. (If you register and fail to attend, you may prevent someone else from attending the program). If you would like to join after registration has closed, please contact jessica.chung@sjlibrary.org.
All sessions will be held online using Zoom. In order to join the class using Zoom, participants must have access to a computer, tablet, or smart phone with an internet connection. Information to join the Zoom meeting will be emailed to all registered participants by the day of each session–please check your inbox, Spam or Junk Mail folders for the week’s Zoom invite.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PARENTS: Please join each meeting with your child as needed to make sure they are able to use Zoom to participate in the program.
