Celebrating the Moon: Mid-Autumn Festival

October 4 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Celebrate NASA’s International Observe the Moon Night and the Moon Festival at West Valley Branch Library! We will have activity stations for families to engage in while they wait for their number to be called to have 1 balloon creation per child (child must be present) provided by Magic Bubbles and Balloons. While supplies last, our activities will include using cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies and plastic knives or spoons to show the different phases of the moon and time to browse through library books about the moon or the Mid-Autumn Festival,

Recommended for families. This program was generously sponsored by the Friends of the West Valley Branch Library.

Free. One balloon creation per child, who must be present with a numbered ticket. Tickets for balloons are limited to 50 and can be picked up at the Information Desk starting 30 minutes before the program. Families who want to visit our activity stations without getting a balloon do not need tickets to attend, but space may be limited.
