3D Design & Printing
Learn to design in Tinkercad and see your creation come to life with our 3D printer! Each class introduces a new technique in Tinkercad or other 3D design tools. Participants will have the opportunity to create a project which will be printed out for pick up later.
No experience necessary, participants do not have to participate in all sessions.
May – Magnets (negative space + combining shapes)
June – Stamps (scribble tool + rotation)
July – Standing Sculptures (alignment + supports)
August – Free Choice (importing and editing outside designs)
September – Hinged Shapes (hinges + print in place) – moved to September 20
October – Lithophanes
November – Cookie Cutters (2D to 3D conversion)
December – Snowflakes (codeblocks for generating designs)
Appropriate for ages 8+ – younger children will need to be accompanied by an adult to assist them with their design. One helper per child under 8.
Space is limited – tickets will be available at the desk 30 minutes before the program begins. One ticket per participant, helpers/spectators do not need a ticket.
