Adult Book Discussion: The Bandit Queens by Parini Shroff
This month the Cupertino Library Adult Book Discussion Group will discuss the novel The Bandit Queens by Parini Shroff. (2023)
Geeta is not a widow, but her no-good husband walked out on her five years ago, and she has no idea where he went. But the rumor that she actually killed him simply will not die in her remote village in India. Oddly, it has only enhanced her standing locally, no one pesters her with marriage proposals, and it has improved business at her jewelry shop, as well. Now other village women want her advice on how to rid themselves of their unwanted husbands, as well.
The Cupertino Book Discussion Group meets twice a month on the third Wednesday morning at 11am, and the third Thursday evening at 7pm. Adults of all ages are welcome. All meetings are sponsored by The Friends of the Cupertino Library.
