Breathing & Meditation: The Natural Path to Better Immunity and Restful Sleep
Experience the soothing calm of meditation presented by library partner, Art of Living Foundation.
Enjoy this free, one-hour session focused on managing stress and anxiety through simple, evidence-based techniques. This is an experiential session open to all adults and includes optional light physical movement, breathing practices, and guided meditation. No prior experience is necessary.
Typical agenda for this one hour as followed:
- Optional Yoga Stretches (10 minutes)
- Light, beginner-friendly stretches
- Will be offered based on participant interest
- Breathing Techniques (10 minutes)
- Guided practice of calming breathwork
- Techniques that can be used daily to reduce stress
- Guided Meditation (20 minutes)
- Deep relaxation and mindfulness practice
- Designed to calm the mind and promote inner peace
- Experience Sharing & Program Info (10 minutes)
- Participants may share experiences
- Information about the Art of Living and wellness programs
- Optional: 3-minute video clip of past participant testimonials (if AV available)
This program is geared to enrich the lives of adults and seniors.
Please note that all NEW participants who want to participate in Yoga stretches will need to complete the Exercise Waiver in order to be able to participate. The Exercise Waiver must be completed before your first day of participation. Exercise Waivers will be provided at each meeting.
