Introduction to Scratch Programming: Catch the Apple
Jump into the world of coding with this fun Scratch workshop! Kids will learn basic programming concepts like sprites, motion, cloning, and variables as they build their own interactive Apple Catching game.
Scratch is a visual programming language that allows students to create their own interactive stories, games, and animations. As students design Scratch projects, they learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively.
This class is perfect for beginners in 2nd grade and up.
Age: 7-12 years old (2nd Grade and up).
Free. Registration is required. Limited to 20 participants.
Software: No software is required to download, but a Scratch account should be set up prior to attending and parents should plan to stay for the first 10-15 minutes until their child is successfully logged in. If you have a laptop or tablet, please bring it. Otherwise, we have a limited number of Chromebooks to borrow.
